Sex In The City (SOS 15)

We are in Movement #3 of the Song of Songs. The Queen is so messed up and needy when God finds her, finds me today, that she triggers, emotionally dysregulates and runs away from his arms— to the city. It is irrational, it is self-destructive, it is counter everything that she wants and yet, her midbrain is in charge. Do we do that? Have you ever gone through an entire worship service check out? Distant. Hardly plugged in? God is there with you, loving you with all of the love in the universe. The Spirit is in your inner-being and you are largely oblivious. Maybe for a day or week, or month or even years. There is no ’sex’ in that city, only intercourse.
