We are looking at the prevalence of "shame" in the eight Best Picture nominated films for 2019. The Shame Meter measures the importance of shame to the character development and plot of each. Measured on a scale of 1-10. If we can begin to see shame in media, maybe, just maybe we can begin to see it in the mirror.
